There are many different design types that will determine the complexity of your screenprint order. Some are really simple, just some text on a shirt, others are full color process, photo-realistic designs.

Below are some examples of the different "types" of artwork for screenprinting.

SIMPLE TEXT
These designs are made up of nothing more than simple text. These are stock fonts that either we have or were sent to us by the customer. If you would like a design with nothing more than text, we can give you three choices to choose from, or if you already have a font you like you can send us the font, and we'll use that.

TEXT and SIMPLE GRAPHIC
These designs are made up of simple text and a simple graphic. We have thousands of images and clipart that can be used for mascots, construction companies, painters, and just about any other occupation, or sport. If you have a font for this type of design you still need to send it to us, but the graphics are from our stock that require no modification.

LOGO COPY
Logo redraws are done when you know exactly what you want, you may already have it on a business card, or letterhead. You want this design on a T-shirt, and then we would have to recreate this for use in screen- printing. JPEG images (like you see on the internet) are not good for t-shirt printing. We like to work with vector art (Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw). These give nice crisp lines and no "dithering" or distortion.

COMPLEX ART
Complex art is just that - Complex. If you bring in a pencil sketch, and we have to totaly redraw it, it is sometimes very time consuming. There are some customers who just have a mental vision of what they want their shirt to look like. We listen to their vision and we come up with several ideas that fit thier description.

PHOTO-REALISTIC ART
Photorealistic art usually looks like a photgraph of course. Realistic in appearance, and requiring lots or redraw or design time. These designs can be harder to print especially on dark garments. With this type of printing, the beginning artwork determines a large part of the final t-shirt. If we have to start off with a low quality JPEG, then end results will be less pleasing than if we started with a high resolution (300dpi) image, or an original photograph that we could scan in at high resolution.

DISTRESSED LOOK
Just about any design can be distressed. Made to look worn and old. It is a very popular technique in todays fashion. We can distress a little or distress alot, but it's usually not a good idea to distress fine print, and thin line drawings.
